On Friday 11 June, we were delighted to welcome Paul Inman, Pro Vice Chancellor (International) at the University of Reading to Padworth for our annual Speech Day.
During the ceremony, which took place on the lawn to the rear of Padworth House, Paul shared some of the key ‘moments’ from his career and life to date. Many of these moments or key lessons leaned by Paul, will serve our graduating students well, as they prepare to progress to a number of leading universities in the UK and overseas.
This was the first Speech Day celebrated at Padworth since the summer of 2019, due to the pandemic, and staff and students alike very much enjoyed the return to normality (and sunshine), although with a number of students joining the event remotely, life is obviously not yet fully back to normal.
After the ceremony, we enjoyed an afternoon tea of strawberries and cream and later on, staff and students enjoyed a Leavers Dinner, followed by a disco and entertainment.
Our thanks to Paul for joining us and congratulations to all those students who were presented with an award or prize.
