Padworth College is celebrating this year’s Year 13 graduating students, who today saw the culmination of two years of hard work and achieved an impressive set of A Level results.
Overall, 78% of grades awarded were A*-B, while 59% of all grades achieved were A*-A grade.
Lorraine Atkins, Principal said: “We are delighted with today’s A Level results and would like to congratulate all of our Year 13 students for their achievements in this extraordinarily challenging time. Padworth College students have seen a significant rise in those attaining the highest grades, with 59% securing an A* or A grade.”
“We are thrilled that the hard work of our Year 13 students has been recognised. During the past couple of academic years, the new management team at Padworth College has supported students with a range of new learning strategies, which have paid dividends in the form of focused target setting by the academic staff. We are delighted that these methods have resulted in an excellent set of results, building on the improvements seen in 2020.”
“I would like to extend my thanks to Padworth College staff, who have gone to great lengths during the pandemic to see the students succeed.”
“We are proud of our students for so much more than just their excellent academic results. They have fully embraced the enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities that have been available to them over the past couple of years, despite the challenges associated with COVID-19.”
“Over the next few days, our Year 13 students will be finalising their university choices. With over 60% of the cohort securing places at Russell Group universities, they have some exciting opportunities ahead. We wish all of our Year 13 cohort every success at their chosen universities.”
